NUUK ARTMUSEUM was opened on 22 May 2005 in the former Adventists church on Kissarneqqortuunnguaq 5 in NUUK. |

The building's space totals approximately 600 square meters. |

The Art Museum displays art and crafts of past and present time. The Museums main body is Svend and Helen Junge's collection from the past 45 years, including appr. 300 pictures (paintings, aquarelles, drawings and graphic works) and some 400 sculptures made from soapstone, tooth and wood. |

Appr. 150 paintings of Emanuel A. Petersen (1894-1948) are featured in the largest collection of the museum's exhibitions. |
